Challenge No. 29 ~ Animals

June 1, 2010

Welcome to a new Copic Creations challenge!  We thought it would be fun to cover an easier challenge this week, not necessarily a technique, but a particular subject matter  ~ Copic coloring of Animals!   Any animals – flying, swimming, crawling, walking or talking!   AND, we’ve got the PERFECT sponsor to coordinate with this challenge!

Hambo Stamps

Go ahead, laugh at us!

Hambo Stamps has some adorable illustrations (either digi or rubber)  AND, they’re ALOT of fun to color with your Copics!    If you’re unfamiliar with Hambo Stamps you really NEED to check them out!   (They also have some hilarious sentiments to match.)   Each of the CCDT members have colored a Hambo digi animal image for this challenge ~ They’ve, of course, done an AMAZING job!

Monica and Tim Hambo will be giving a $25.00 Gift Certificate

good for any Hambo digi images

to one lucky winner of this challenge!

We have to tell you, we had some truly amazing projects submitted for our last challenge ~ Monochrome.   We REALLY appreciate you joining us and wish we could give a prize to EVERY participant!

Help!   We’re finalizing our calendar for the rest of the year and would LOVE some ideas from YOU!    Your wish is our command.   🙂    So, if there’s some Copic technique you’re having issues with that you would love to see featured here, PLEASE leave us a comment.   We just may have a few prizes up for grabs for any challenge that we feature from your input!   🙂

From the feedback received, everyone loved Katie Cotton’s awesome tutorials and sample cards from our last challenge ~ We’re VERY fortunate and thrilled to have Katie joining our Design Team!!   The awesome Jami Bova will be taking a short leave from the Design Team as she will be doing some traveling for work, so the timing is PERFECT!    I hope you will join us in welcoming Katie to the team!

Without further ado, the winner from Challenge No. 28 ~ Monochrome Copic Coloring is

True Random Number Generator 42 Powered by RANDOM.ORG

Tina Mayo ~ mY FaMILY RoCkS!

Congrats Tina!  Please send us an email, so we can forward your info to Katie!    Special thanks again to Katie Cotton for all her hard work and sponsorship for our Monochrome challenge

You will have until June 14th, 12:00 p.m. CDT to post your artwork and be eligible for a chance to win this weeks prize; The winner will be announced along with our next challenge post on June 15th.

I think it would be fun to have a challenge on using the Colorless Blender for different techniques. There is a lot you can do with it, and to show off different ways to use it would be really cool. Thanks!

I would love to have a challenge using the colorless blender and a small amount of color, like on clouds. Also Copics on glossy paper would be fab!

Ooops! Two Things: I forgot to mention that I’d like to see how the design team creates the look of the shiny, coppery metal surfaces like found in the pierced tin of old country cupboards or the decorative copper baking pans. What would they do with the fluorescent- colored markers?

What a fun blog! I’m adding it to my faves and trying my hand at your fun Copic challenges. I’m learning so much using my Copics.

I would love to learn to work with the Spica pens. They are so pretty and with all the talent that is on your design team, I bet they can do some awesome things.
