Challenge No. 46 ~ We’ve got the BLUES
… No, not THAT kind of blues!! Copic maker BLUES!
Today, we’re featuring various shades of BLUE as our challenge for you. As you can see from this Copic color wheel, there are definitely LOTS of BLUES (B, BV & BG) to choose from.
Our sponsor this week is one that you may be familiar with … the one and only
Sugar Nellie is a small Scottish Stamp Company with a variety of designers each with their own unique style. Since starting in Autumn of 2007 they have been overwhelmed by the response of crafters worldwide to their stamps.
They have an amazing selection of some of the most adorable images available. They also now carry a great selection of digi images too for anyone looking for some instant gratification!
We’re also SUPER excited to announce that one VERY lucky participant this week will have the chance to win …
FOUR stamps from Sugar Nellie!
PLEASE NOTE: You are NOT required to use an image from our sponsor for your Copic Creations project. You will have until March 31st, 12:00 P.M., CDT to post your artwork and be eligible for a chance to win this weeks prize; The winner will be announced along with our next challenge post on April 1st.
We had some amazing entries for our last challenge! Thank you ALL for joining us. We’ve selected one of our favorites for this week’s “In the Spotlight” designer:
This gorgeous creation from Lina of Lina Scraps …
Awesome Copic coloring Lina, and that lace is perfect!! I’ll be in touch with the code for our In The Spotlight blinkie.
We have a winner! Picked using Random.org, the winner for Challenge No. 45 is:
No. 30 – Lynne of Ruby-dooby-doo’s Stampin Spot
Congrats Lynne! Please contact us with your choice of four digi images from Crafts and Me, and your email address.
Special thanks to Crafts and Me for sponsoring our challenge!!

Tutorials: No specific tutorials for this challenge … but here are a few of the CC Design Team’s favorite blue combinations:
If Copic only made 3 blues, I’d want them to be B91, B95 and B97. I use those 3 blues, in some combination, on nearly everything from sky, water, clothing, animals, baby stuff, etc. These 3 blues are definitely my “go to” Bs. (I sure am glad that there are more choices though!!!) ~ Rose
I’m with Rose on this one the B90’s are my favourites, a light, a dark and one in between!! ~ Heather
My favorite “blues” are actually blue-greens (BGs). I often use BG000, 72, 75 … and now the brand NEW BG70 too! ~ Mary
For your convenience the Design Team have included the specific blue Copic colors used for their sample cards below featuring Sugar Nellie images. Each card is STUNNING!!
***VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Our next challenge, on April 1st will be our TWO YEAR Anniversary! We’ve been busy planning and really hope you can join us! LOTS of prizes will be up for grabs – you definitely won’t want to miss this one!
