Challenge No. 48 ~ Favorite Paper for Copic Coloring
Welcome. We’re so happy you could join us today!
It seems whenever you come across the subject of Copics on message boards, craft sites, etc. there are always numerous discussions on “what’s the best paper to use when coloring with Copics“. Well, we’d like to hear from you on this!
Below you’ll find a poll with the most popular papers available for Copics … please take a minute to let us know which is YOUR favorite.
Our Design Team was recently introduced to the newest paper in the Copic blending family ~ Cryogen White cardstock from our awesome sponsor this week … the Paper Temptress.
Here’s what Patricia (THE Paper Temptress!) has to say about Cryogen White:
Elegant, yet subtle iridescent finish with a subtle sparkle when you “flip” it.
Copic coloring cardstock with that “Wow” factor!
Copic and prismacolor markers work beautifully with this paper keeping the iridescent finish while adding rich color.
The preferred specialty copic cardstock of Copic instructors! This is what a copic instructor said “”I am using Cryogen White now, love it…..it’s a mix between a smooth paper & and some with tooth too—lite iridescent too, really pretty and easy to use!”
Laser and ink jet compatible
Acid Free
8.5 x 11 and 12 x 12 ….Available in both 89# Cardstock and text weight.
Be sure to check out the awesome Heavenly White since it is also highly recommended by copic instructors also.
If you’ve not yet visited the Paper Temptress store, you should definitely check it out. You’ll find an amazing variety of every type of paper to fulfill your heart’s desire!
No matter what color, weight, or type of cardstock and now ribbon you want, you will ALWAYS find it at PaperTemptress.com!

STUNNING variation of creations, love the different challenge, take careX:)
Hi – I put other in the vote mainly because I can’t easily buy the more popular types of card as I am in the UK, I use presentation card from Tesco. Gorgeous creations ladies 🙂
Papertrey ink, besides loving to color with it I love using my nestabilities with it.
Oooh fab cards from the DT as usual!
At the minute I’m using the super smooth stamping card from Lili of the Valley, I’d love to try the others but they’re not readily available in the UK.
Lovely inspiration. I made two cards so I’m entering twice if that’s ok. My favourite paper is Rymans Colour Print 200gsm. Hugs, Lesley
Ryman’s smooth (UK) x
Thanks for an awesome challenge and a chance to vote for my favorite copic paper! Your DT Inspirations are absolutely beautiful! Have a wonderful day! Happy Creating! Sara
My favourite paper is DCP (Clare Fontaine)
I have used many different papers, but that’s defintaly my favourite because the colors are flowing better through eachother, so you can mix them up. And also important this paper doesn’t “bleed”.
Oh my the talent of this DT is extraordinary! The shading is divine! Thank you for doing the poll on paper – I am always interested in trying something new for my copics!
Gorgeous DT creations 🙂 I have voted too and will have to get me some of the new Cryogen White card seeing as you recommend it so highly !! 🙂 I have almost run out of Neenah.

The cardstock that I use with my Copics is Xerox Colotech Gold – I haven’t used any other carstock so can’t compare but I found this by accident and it works for me!

Thanks for a “different” challenge. Love the DT work, as I said in my post, I like Xpress Blending Card, but I haven’t used Cryogen White so I may prefer that…you’ll just have to send me some so I know, lol. Dee
I always enjoy seeing the beautiful DT creations. My current favorite paper is Gina K Designs Pure Luxury card stock. I haven’t tried the Cryogen White yet, but will need to try it.
