Challenge No. 49 ~ Sky/Clouds
Edited to correct the link to Dana Christiansen’s Copic Tutorial video using Reinkers! Sorry about that Dana.
Happy May Day! Thank you for stopping in today ~ we hope you’re having a great weekend.
We’ve got a new challenge for you this week . . . COLORING SKY and/or CLOUDS using your Copic markers. This can be either coloring directly on your paper with Copics, or if you’re lucky enough to have one ~ using your airbrush system, or even a slightly different technique using Copic reinkers, which you can check out in our tutorial section below.
Thanks to everyone who was able to join us for our FAVORITE PAPER challenge and letting us know what your favorite paper is. The results were very interesting! It looks like Neenah was a definite winner. You can view the final numbers on the original Poll here, just click “View Results” at the bottom.
**We’d love to give YOU the opportunity to try some Cryogen White paper from the Paper Temptress … Please check out our special announcement below!**
We’re super excited to announce that one of our all-time favorite sponsors is back!! The awesome
Lili of the Valley has over 200 unique (and adorable) rubber stamps, and lots of Papercrafting Images too. They have recently launched new Additions & Sentiment Stamps and 20 brand new Die Cuts! You can check them out here.
Our Design Team have all used LOTV images for their always amazing SKY/CLOUD sample cards below. We hope you will be inspired to join us for this fun challenge.
PLEASE NOTE: You are NOT required to use an image from our sponsor for your Copic Creations project. You will have until May 14th, 12:00 P.M., CDT to post your artwork and be eligible for a chance to win this weeks prize; The winner will be announced along with our next challenge post on May 15th.
Time for the always difficult task of picking our In The Spotlight card from our last challenge! We did find this truly awesome creation from Renata of Renata’s Design:
Wow ~ Simply amazing creation, and wonderful Copic coloring! Thank you for sharing this with us. I’ll be in touch with the code for our In The Spotlight blinkie.
Our lucky winner, picked using Random.org, for Challenge No. 48 is:
No. 56 – Linda P. of Payne Holler Cards
Yay Linda, congrats! Please contact us with your mailing address to forward to the Paper Temptress. Special thanks again to the VERY generous Patricia of the Paper Temptress for sponsoring our challenge …
**But wait, as we mentioned, we have a SPECIAL announcement! Patricia of the PT would like to offer
20 Sheets of Cryogen White paper to one lucky participant EACH MONTH ~ starting this week!!
“Elegant, yet subtle iridescent finish with a subtle sparkle when you “flip” it.
Copic coloring cardstock with that “Wow” factor!
Copic and prismacolor markers work beautifully with this paper keeping the iridescent finish while adding rich color.”
How cool is that?!
So, our first winner of 20 sheets of Croygen White paper is:
No. 2 – Annie of ink’n’rubba
Congrats Annie! Please contact us with your mailing address to also forward to the Paper Temptress!
Special thanks this week to …
