Challenge No. 22 ~ Coloring Embellishments with Copics
Welcome to our 22nd Copic Creations Challenge! We’re very happy you could join us.
Our challenge this week is custom coloring your embellishments with Copics. It’s a great technique for making ALL your embellishments match your Copic coloring PERFECTLY. You’d be surprised at what can be custom colored with Copics … brads, buttons, flowers, ribbon, thread, pearls, rhinestones ~ the possibilities are endless.
We’re also featuring an Easter theme for this week’s challenge. Since Easter (and hopefully Spring too!) is fast approaching and I think we all could use some bright colors during this dismal time of year! All the DT projects are made using Easter/Spring images from our sponsor for this week
Diane, the super sweet owner of DZ Doodles was thrilled to sponsor our challenge and we were equally thrilled to feature her amazing digital stamps. DZD has some adorable Easter images, along with lots of other holidays and themes. We hope you can take a minute to check out their huge selection of digital stamps! [Edited to add: DZD has an Easter “freebie” image up for grabs on their blog!]
One lucky participant will receive . . .
a $25.00 Gift Certificate from DZ Doodles
AND
Four (4) Copic Sketch markers of your choice from 7 Kids College Fund
PLEASE NOTE: You are NOT required to use an image from DZ Doodles for your Copic Creations challenge card. You will have until February 28th, 12:00 p.m. CST to post your artwork and be eligible for a chance to win this weeks prize; The winner will be announced along with our next challenge post on March 1st.

It was fun experimenting coloring different embellishments! Thanks for the challenge, I wouldn’t have tried it on my own.
What an incredible challenge. Lauren Meader is such an artist – loved watching her video. I didn’t have much luck coloring buttons – they came out kind of marble-looking. But . . . loved the results with satin ribbon. Here’s my entry: http://cateredcrop.com/2010/02/23/grandmas-bliss/
