Challenge No. 20 ~ Ethnic Skin Tones

January 15, 2010

Welcome to our 20th challenge ~ Copic coloring of Ethnic Skin Tones.

Thanks to everyone who joined us in our last challenge.  We had some GREAT cards submitted, it’s always so much fun to see your wonderful creations!

This week, we have an awesome sponsor who I know you’ll love …

Philomena O’Neil is the owner and creator of Phindy’s Place digital stamp illustrations.    She is an amazing children’s book illustrator  with wonderful attention to detail, who has recently gotten involved in the world of digital stamping through the encouragement of her friend (and ours!) Mo Manning of Mo’s Digital Pencil Too.   Phindy also maintains a blog where she posts and announces her newest digital stamps as they are created.    We hope you’ll explore her various sites –  you won’t be disappointed!   (You can also find Phindy at Paper Craft Planet – where her group often has a FREE image for members!)

Each member of our Design Team has received an image from Phindy for today’s challenge  ~  I think you’ll be amazed at the how they’ve truly been brought to life!

The prize for this week’s challenge …

One randomly selected participant will receive a

$20.00 Gift Certificate to Phindy’s Place!

PLEASE NOTE:   You are NOT required to use a Philomena O’Neil image on your Copic Creations challenge card.  You will have until January 31st, 12:00 p.m. CST to post your artwork and be eligible for a chance to win this weeks prize; The winner will be announced along with our next challenge post on February 1st.

What AMAZING design team projects!!! WOW!!! This is something I have been working on with different colors because my daughter is a beautiful mix of caucasian/hispanic/african-american. Her skin tone is very fair in winter months yet gets golden brown in the summer. You have all provided such beautiful examples for me to try.THANK YOU for introducing me to Phindy’s place also, she has some of the closest images to my daughters look that I have seen. I will be trying my best at this challenge!!! I need to start coloring NOW!!!
